The Mitchell Tigers struggled with assists on Monday (the Chadron Cardinals had eight more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Mitchell suffered a tough 49-28 defeat at the hands of Chadron. Mitchell has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the defeat, Mitchell saw an underclassman step up: Addy Bowlin scored 15 points along with seven rebounds. That was a full 53.6% of Mitchell's points, marking the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Chadron had a senior duo take command as Demi Ferguson scored eight points along with seven rebounds and four steals and Taverra Sayaloune scored ten points along with five rebounds and four steals. Sayaloune hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. Reese Ritterbush was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with five rebounds.
Mitchell's loss dropped their record down to 4-19. As for Chadron, their victory bumped their record up to 13-11.
Mitchell does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Chadron also has no future games currently scheduled.
