Softball Recap: Carrabec Wins Going Away Against Wiscasset

Carrabec won the last time they faced Wiscasset and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Cobras were the clear victors by an 18-1 margin over the Wolverines. The Cobras might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matchups by seven runs or more this season.

Aiyana Tibbetts and Amiya Tibbetts did most of the damage at the plate: Aiyana got on base in all three of her plate appearances with three stolen bases, three runs, and one triple, while Amiya went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Aiyana is on a roll when it comes to triples, as she's now hit at least one in each of the last four games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Karen Baker, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

The victory made it two in a row for Carrabec and bumps their season record up to 8-1. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 24.0 runs over those games. As for Wiscasset, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Carrabec will square off against Forest Hills at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Wiscasset, they will take on Buckfield at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
