The Cane Bay Cobras will face off against the Wando Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Cane Bay is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7 runs per game this season.
Having struggled with five defeats in a row, Cane Bay turned things around against Goose Creek on Wednesday. They blew past the Gators 17-2. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Cobras considering their one-run performance the matchup before.
Isabella Kelly looked comfortable as she pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Emma Tychek, who went 1-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Marleigh Robertson was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three runs and two RBI.
Cane Bay kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 5.3 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 games they've averaged 9.2.
Meanwhile, after soaring to ten runs the game before, Wando was a bit more limited in their contest on Wednesday. They fell 7-2 to Stratford.
Paxton Hunt spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and five unearned) runs on six hits.
At the plate, Wando saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lily Gold, who went 1-for-3 with one run. Sofie Moore also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.
Wando has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for Cane Bay, their win bumped their record up to 3-8.
Cane Bay couldn't quite get it done against Wando when the teams last played back in April of 2025 as they fell 10-7. Can the Cobras avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
