With a playoff game on the line, Murrieta Valley rose to the challenge on Wednesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 63-61 win over the Sailors. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Murrieta Valley's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Brady Jones led the charge by dropping a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Collin Ingram, who scored 17 points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Chaminade can finally bid farewell to their eight-game losing streak thanks to their game on Wednesday. They came out on top against San Dimas by a score of 60-49. The win was just what Chaminade needed coming off of a 72-52 defeat in their prior match.

Murrieta Valley is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 19-10 record this season. As for Chaminade, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 17-12.
Friday's match is shaping up to be a masterclass in shooting: Murrieta Valley have been dynamite from deep this season, having made 44.5% of their threes per game. However, it's not like Chaminade struggles in that department as they've made 40.1% of their threes this season.
