The Hill Hawks were the 53-44 winner over the Methodist Children's Home Bulldogs when they last played one another back in February of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Hill was beaten by Methodist Children's Home 64-19 on Wednesday. Hill has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Hill struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only three offensive rebounds. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Methodist Children's Home pulled down 26 offensive rebounds.
Methodist Children's Home was led to victory by Daraun Taylor and Londen Bickham. Taylor scored 22 points along with six assists and five rebounds, while Bickham dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 rebounds. Bickham is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last 11 games he's played. Elijah Williams was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with two steals.
Hill has been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-4 record this season. As for Methodist Children's Home, their victory bumped their record up to 9-4.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Flint Academy the next time they take the court. Methodist Children's Home will head out to face Flint Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, while Hill will host them on Friday.
