On Friday Smith Center take on Plainville at 7:00 PM. Plainville will be strutting in after a victory while Smith Center will be stumbling in from a defeat.

After a dominant win in their contest two weeks ago, Smith Center were humbled last week. They have to be aching after a bruising 14-42 loss to Phillipsburg. Smith Center got a solid performance out of senior Colby Benoit, who rushed for 102 yards and 1 touchdown; unfortunately, it just wasn't enough for the win. In fact, with 14 tackles Benoit was a force on both sides of the ball.

Meanwhile, Plainville were the big favorite in their most recent match, and for good reason. They put a hurting on Thomas More Prep-Marian to the tune of 46-6. The success represented a nice turnaround for Plainville, who in their last game suffered a tough 3-31 loss.

Smith Center's loss took them down to 2-1 while Plainville's victory pulled them up to 2-1. In Plainville's victory, junior Jordan Finnesy picked up 98 yards on the ground and threw 3 TDs and junior Jared Casey rushed for 124 yards and 3 touchdowns.
