Baseball Recap: Bryce Valley Takes a Loss

Bryce Valley lost against Panguitch two weeks ago, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Mustangs fell just short of the Bobcats by a score of 7-6. The Mustangs' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Antonio Moreno was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over six innings while giving up four earned (and three unearned) runs off seven hits. Moreno was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

In other batting news, Clay Grey was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple. Rodolfo Perez was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs.

Bryce Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Panguitch, they pushed their record up to 9-1 with the victory, which was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season.
