The Hesperia Christian Patriots will venture away from home to take on the Immanuel Christian Crusaders at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Hesperia Christian knows how to get runs on the board -- the squad has finished with ten runs or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Immanuel Christian likes a good challenge.
Hesperia Christian will bounce into Wednesday's match after beating Academy for Academic Excellence, who they had gone 0-9 against in their nine prior meetings. Hesperia Christian came out on top against Academy for Academic Excellence by a score of 10-7 on Monday.

Hailey Hoffman made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. That home run marked the first that she launched this season.
In other batting news, Eden Skinner and Elyse VanderWeide did most of the damage at the plate: Skinner scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances, while VanderWeide scored two runs and stole Two bases. while going 1-for-3. Another player making a difference was Riley Cooper, who scored a run while going 1-for-4.
Meanwhile, after only one run in their last game, Immanuel Christian made sure to put some runs up on the board against Desert Christian on Monday. Everything went Immanuel Christian's way against Desert Christian as Immanuel Christian made off with a 26-10 win. Considering the Crusaders have won five contests by more than nine runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
The team relied heavily on Ava Blakie, who went 3-for-5 with one home run, four stolen bases, and six RBI. Holly Cosner was another key player, going 3-for-5 with three runs, four RBI, and one triple.
Immanuel Christian lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've posted since back in April of 2024.
The victory got Hesperia Christian back to even at 4-4-1. As for Immanuel Christian, their record now sits at 9-2.
Wednesday's match might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Hesperia Christian has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .480. However, it's not like Immanuel Christian struggles in that department as they've averaged .488. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
