Moapa Valley proved they can win big on Friday (they won by 15) and on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out the Spring Creek Spartans 7-6. Winning may never get old, but the Pirates sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

The team relied heavily on Logan Schouten, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Lucas Pettingill, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Moapa Valley's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-8. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.6 runs over those games. As for Spring Creek, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-9 record this season.

Moapa Valley has already played their next contest, a 5-4 loss against Virgin Valley on the 7th. As for Spring Creek, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 15-2 defeat against Lowry on the 11th.
