1A-2 Region IV District 14 recap Oct. 23, 2012
Runge extended the longest winning streak in 1A-2 Region IV District 14 this week by beating Louise, 20-14. The victory was the seventh in a row for the Yellowjackets.
Falls City took down Charlotte 40-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Cameron Soto threw for 179 yards and two touchdowns and ran for 52 yards in the win.
The Beavers' offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Phillip Lyssy helped Falls City's passing attack out by catching one ball for 39 yards.
Stephen Harlos was the best wideout in the league this week as Falls City defeated the Trojans. Harlos tallied two receptions for 55 yards.
Steve Marbach's team's Soto and Lyssy have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Soto has thrown for 1054 yards this season, while Lyssy has 19 catches for 256 yards. Runge's Dylan Torres leads the league in rushing yards with 687.
A big matchup in 1A-2 Region IV District 14 this week will be when the Beavers take on Woodsboro. Falls City is currently in third, while the Eagles are in second.
Woodsboro led the league in scoring this week after putting up 42 points on Pettus.
