The Lexington Minutemen will take on the Fredericktown Freddies at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Lexington is coming into the match hot, having won their last nine games.
Lexington's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. Everything went their way against Mansfield Senior as they made off with a 16-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Minutemen, who have now won 14 contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Makaree Chapman and Savannah Lutz made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Chapman didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 12 over four innings pitched. Meanwhile, Lutz pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in strikeouts (three). At the plate, Chapman went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and three runs, while Lutz went 1-for-2 with four RBI, one run, and one double.
In other batting news, Lexington let Alexis Cantrell and Kylie Thornton run wild. Cantrell went 2-for-4 with two runs and one triple, while Thornton went 2-for-3 with three runs and one RBI. Kaylee Stull was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Lexington kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in nine consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, Fredericktown lost 13-6 to Danville on Monday. The Freddies haven't had much luck with the Blue Devils recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.
Fredericktown saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Vika Arnett, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
Lexington's victory was their ninth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 18-2. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Fredericktown, their loss dropped their record down to 11-7.
