The East Hickman County Eagles will challenge the McEwen Warriors at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.
East Hickman County made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Zion Christian Academy, but they still couldn't quite topple them. East Hickman County blew past Zion Christian Academy 18-6 on Tuesday. East Hickman County's hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Dylan Reddin made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has become a key player for East Hickman County: the team is 2-1 when he allows at most three hits, but 0-4 otherwise. Reddin was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 2-for-5.
In other batting news, Jayden Malugin was a standout: he scored four runs and stole Two bases. while going 4-for-5. He also put up two RBI, which were his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Luke Owens, who scored a run while going 3-for-5.
East Hickman County always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .560. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Zion Christian Academy only posted an OBP of .400.
Meanwhile, it may have taken nine innings to finish the job, but McEwen ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Perry County, sneaking past 15-14. The victory was familiar territory for the Warriors, who have now won three matchups in a row.
Ben McPherson made a big impact no matter where he played. He tossed 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. McPherson was even better at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-5. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Landon Davis, who scored two runs and stole Three bases. while getting on base in four of his six plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Tylon Carter, who scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 1-for-5.
The win got McEwen back to even at 3-3. As for East Hickman County, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 2-5 record.
