Carson Smith made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out six batters over three innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off two hits. Smith was even better at the plate, going 3-for-4 with four RBI and two doubles. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high.
