Winning always takes teamwork, but on Thursday Henry Pierce stepped things up a notch to give Richland the 'W'. Nobody could stop Pierce as he tossed four innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. He is becoming a predictor of Richland's success: when he allows at most three earned runs the team is 2-1 (and 2-4 when he doesn't).
