The Troy Trojans pushed their score all the way to 57 on Wednesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 67-57 to Atchison-Maur Hill-Mount Academy. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Saturday (56), Troy still had to take the loss.
When it comes to explaining why Troy lost, one person who can't be blamed is Jack Hartman. Despite the final result, he scored 26 points along with nine rebounds and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Hartman has scored all season. Henry Geiger was another key contributor, scoring six points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Troy's defeat dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Atchison-Maur Hill-Mount Academy, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-3-1.
Troy will head out on the road to face off against Washington County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Washington County has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Atchison-Maur Hill-Mount Academy, they will be playing at home against Atchison County on Tuesday.
