Volleyball Recap: Valley Falls Has No Trouble Against Pleasant Ridge

Valley Falls lost to Pleasant Ridge back in September of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Thursday. The Dragons blew past the Rams 3-0. That three set margin sets a new team best for the Dragons this season.

While Valley Falls won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-21, 25-23.

Cali DeLong paced Valley Falls' offense, picking up 12 kills. DeLong were helped by Chloe Cox and Breckyn Moore, who contributed ten assists each. DeLong also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Caydren Strickler, racking up three apiece.

Valley Falls' win bumped their record up to 8-6. As for Pleasant Ridge, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-5-5.

Coming up, Valley Falls will challenge Wamego at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Pleasant Ridge, they will square off against Jefferson West on Saturday.
