North Eugene is 0-10 against Eagle Point since April of 2018 but things could change on Tuesday. The Highlanders will host the Eagles at 5:00 p.m. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with North Eugene sitting on five straight victories and Eagle Point on three.
On Friday, North Eugene beat Springfield 6-1.

Anabel Acosta was a major factor no matter where she played. She struck out nine batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. Those nine strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one double and one RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Alexa Stiles, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024. Sahannah Chatwood also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.
Meanwhile, Eagle Point made easy work of Churchill on Saturday and carried off a 12-1 win. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won ten contests by seven runs or more so far this season.
Kady Lindstrom was a standout: she went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. Sarah Estes was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double.
Eagle Point always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .567. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive games.
North Eugene's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-10. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.6 runs on average over those games. As for Eagle Point, their victory bumped their record up to 13-9.
Tuesday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. North Eugene hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .385. However, it's not like Eagle Point struggles in that department as they've averaged .363. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
North Eugene might still be hurting after the 15-2 defeat they got from Eagle Point in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can the Highlanders avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
