Basketball Recap: Alexander Falls Despite Big Games from Oddyssey Murray and Nimah Ibidunni

It was a proper cat-fight when Alexander challenged Southwest DeKalb on Saturday. The Cougars fell 56-46 to the Panthers.

Alexander's loss came despite strong showings from Nimah Ibidunni and Oddyssey Murray. Ibidunni dropped a double-double with 14 points and ten rebounds, while Murray went 5-for-9 en route to 12 points and five boards. Ibidunni is on a roll when it comes to boards, as she's now pulled down eight or more in each of the last four games she's played.

Alexander now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Southwest DeKalb, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-1.

Coming up, Alexander will be playing at home against Pope at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Southwest DeKalb, they will head out to square off against St. Pius X Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
