After a string of five wins, the University Christian Christians's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They fell 49-36 to Ridgeview.
Nia Blocton continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Ridgeview, dropping a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds. The contest was Blocton's seventh in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Nacoya Blocton, who scored 14 points.
University Christian's loss ended a six-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 5-1. As for Ridgeview, they pushed their record up to 5-3 with that victory, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. University Christian will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Trinity Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on January 5, 2024. As for Ridgeview, they will head out on the road to face off against Creekside at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
