Marissa Silva made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out seven over seven innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base.
In other batting news, Anna Cope was incredible, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and one run. Those two stolen bases gave her a new career-high.
Meanwhile, Guerin Catholic was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against Roncalli, falling 15-3.

Wednesday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Covenant Christian hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .342. However, it's not like Guerin Catholic struggles in that department as they've averaged .341. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
