Central moved up to 140 from 191 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Western Illinois Valley - North. The Panthers were able to move up by beating Carrollton 33-0.
Central added to the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating the Hawks, 33-0. This was the team's eighth consecutive win.
Triopia/Meredosia-Chambersburg/Virginia's dynamic duo of Nate Shanks and Tristan Wise proved to be unstoppable against West Central co-op [Winchester-Bluffs], as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Shanks threw for 110 yards and Wise had 81 yards receiving. Dean Arendt helped Triopia/Meredosia-Chambersburg/Virginia's passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 23 yards.
Austin Kramberg was a passing and rushing force as the Panthers topped Carrollton.
Central's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Panthers feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Cole Phillips has thrown for 311 yards and 8 touchdowns this season, while Zach Foote has 4 catches for 136 yards.
Central's Kramberg is a mere 95 yards away from breaking the 1,000-rushing-yards mark for the season. In 50 carries Kramberg has put up 905 yards this year.
Illinois School for the Deaf fell to North Greene 49-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
