After flying high against Lincoln  on Friday, DSST: Montview came back down to earth. The Knights took  a  3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Manual Thunderbolts on Tuesday. The Knights were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Thunderbolts apparently hadn't forgotten their  defeat the last time these teams played  back in October of 2024.
 DSST: Montview started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 23-25, 25-23, 25-20,  27-25.
 Sydney Connors paced DSST: Montview's offense, picking up 17 kills. Connors got some help from  Yecxira Simental and her 18 assists. Simental was also solid from the service line:  she led the team with three aces.
 Leading Manual to victory were  Emma Martinez and  Madaline Garcia-Ortiz.  Martinez  had 20  assists, while  Garcia-Ortiz  had seven  digs and three  aces. Those  seven  digs gave  Garcia-Ortiz a new career-high.
DSST: Montview's loss was  their fourth straight at home, which  dropped their record down to 7-14. As for Manual,  the  win made it two in a row for them and  bumps their season record up to 5-14.
As of now, neither DSST: Montview nor the Thunderbolts have any future games scheduled.
