After only one run in their last contest, Covenant Christian made sure to put some runs up on the board against Parish Episcopal on Monday. The Covenant Christian Cougars blew past the Parish Episcopal Panthers 10-4. This was a revenge game for the Cougars: when they faced off against the Panthers last Saturday, they had to take a 6-1 loss.

Carter Humphrey made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed two innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run any time he's pitched this season. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-2. What's more, he posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, Covenant Christian let Collin Balderree and Matthew Boughton run wild. Balderree scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-3, while Boughton scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances. The dominant performance gave Balderree a new career-high in stolen bases. Another player making a difference was Mason Jordan, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Covenant Christian now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Parish Episcopal, the defeat was their first at home , dropping their record down to 6-3.

Looking ahead, Covenant Christian will face off against Trinity Valley at 7:00 p.m. on March 4th. As for Parish Episcopal, they will take on Texas Alliance of Christian Athletes at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday.
