Even though the Laney Wildcats scored an imposing 75 points on Friday, the Putnam County War Eagles still came out on top. Putnam County managed a 81-75 win over Laney. The win made it back-to-back wins for Putnam County.
It was another big night for Landon Bonner, who dropped a double-double on 40 points and 11 rebounds. Jeremy Banks was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Putnam County has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season. As for Laney, they now have a losing record at 8-9.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Butler the next time they take the court. Laney will host Butler at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, while Putnam County will host them at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
