Omaha South is 2-8 against Creighton Prep since March of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Omaha South Packers will head out on the road to square off against the Creighton Prep Junior Jays at 2:30 p.m. Omaha South is no doubt hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses.
Even though Omaha Northwest scored an imposing 63 points on Saturday, Omaha South still came out on top. Omaha South sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 66-63 victory over Omaha Northwest.
Sean King was a one-man wrecking crew for Omaha South as he almost dropped a double-double on 17 points and nine rebounds. Another player making a difference was Lou Hodoly, who scored 19 points.
Meanwhile, Creighton Prep entered their tilt with Rockhurst with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Creighton Prep walked away with a 61-49 win over Rockhurst on Saturday. 61 seems to be a good number for Creighton Prep as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.
Omaha South's victory bumped their record up to 4-13. As for Creighton Prep, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 14-5.
Omaha South was taken down by Creighton Prep 64-33 in their previous meeting back in January of 2023. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Omaha South was down 39-13.
