Towns County's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kaleigh Beaver led the charge by scoring 20 points along with eight rebounds and four blocks. Beaver has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Brelan Sieveking, who scored 13 points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
Greene County's defeat dropped their record down to 11-11. As for Towns County, their victory bumped their record up to 15-8.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Greene County's road trip will continue as they head out to face Lincoln County at 7:00 p.m. on February 9th. As for Towns County, they will challenge Washington-Wilkes at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Washington-Wilkes is coming into the match with three straight defeats at home, meaning Towns County will have to defend against a squad hungry for a win.
