A Season-Best Performance from Zane Farney Leads Sterling over South Sumner [Caldwell/South Haven]
On Friday, Sterling got the W thanks in part to Zane Farney playing the best football he has all season. Farney rushed for 300 yards and six touchdowns while picking up 17.6 yards per carry. The effort marked the most rushing yards he has had since back in October of 2023. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 72-yard run.
On the season, Farney has run in 14 touchdowns while averaging 168.1 rushing yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after seven games last season, he had nine rushing touchdowns.

Spencer Crumrine Delivers Best Effort of Season
Sadly, Spencer Crumrine posting his best game of the season wasn't enough to lead Sedgwick over Moundridge on Friday. Crumrine picked up 170 receiving yards and two touchdowns. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, making six total tackles (2.0 for loss) and defending a pass.
With the loss, Sedgwick broke their six-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-1. Crumrine and Sedgwick will host Remington at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Big Game from Crumrine As Sedgwick Fell 41-40
Another Sedgwick player making an appearance on this list is Corey Crumrine. He threw for 279 yards and three touchdowns, and also rushed for 61 yards and two touchdowns. He is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in the last five games he's played.
