While Whiteville's victory against East Columbus wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Wolfpack never let the Gators get on the board and left with a 2-0 win on Friday. Those two runs were actually the fewest the Wolfpack have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

The victory was the third in a row for Whiteville, bringing their record up to 4-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for East Columbus, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.

Whiteville will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Gators: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
