Beaufort will bounce into Friday's match after beating May River, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. Beaufort snuck past May River with a 32-28 victory on Friday.
Beaufort's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Jania Hayward, who posted 17 points in addition to six rebounds and three steals, and Carson Crosby, who earned two points and 12 boards. That makes it four consecutive games in which Hayward has scored at least a third of Beaufort's points.
Beaufort smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in five consecutive contests.

Beaufort better focus on containing Olivia Brockway and Amaya Wroten as the pair were huge in Hilton Head Island's win. Brockway went 6 for 9 en route to 13 points along with eight steals and six boards, while Wroten scored 13 points and three steals. Wroten has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last seven times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Ashley Brothers, who put up a point and four steals.
Hilton Head Island is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 5-10 record this season. As for Beaufort, they pushed their record up to 10-7 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Beaufort has been crashing the rebounds this season, having averaged 34.6 boards per game. However, it's not like Hilton Head Island struggles in that department as they've been averaging 31.1 rebounds.
