It may have taken extra minutes to finish the job, but Pickens ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They won by a goal and slipped past the Blue Ridge Fighting Tigers 4-3. The victory was some much needed relief for Pickens as it spelled an end to their eight-game losing streak.

Pickens' win bumped their record up to 3-10. As for Blue Ridge, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-9.

Looking ahead, Pickens is taking a road trip to square off against Landrum at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Blue Ridge, they will be playing at home against Greer at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Blue Ridge will need to watch out since Greer have now posted at least four goals in their last three matchups.
