Softball Recap: Washington Township Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

While Washington Township put up plenty of runs on Wednesday, the same can't be said for Marquette Catholic. The Senators blew past the Blazers 17-0. The result was nothing new for the Senators, who have now won nine games by seven runs or more so far this season.

The win (which was Washington Township's third in a row) raised their record to 11-4. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Marquette Catholic, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 5-5.

Looking ahead, Washington Township will host Kouts at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Senators' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Mustangs & Fillies have averaged an impressive 6.4 runs per game this season. As for Marquette Catholic, they will venture away from home to face off against Non Varsity Opponent at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
