Meanwhile, Caliche entered their tilt with Flagler on Friday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Their defense stepped up to hand the Panthers a 2-0 shutout. The two-point effort marked the Buffaloes' lowest-scoring match of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.
La Veta's win bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Caliche, they pushed their record up to 6-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.
