The Catholic Crusaders will look to defend their home field  on Saturday against the Christchurch School Seahorses at 12:00  p.m.
 After soaring to 14  runs the game before, Catholic were a bit more limited  in their  game  on Thursday. They suffered a  rough 15-2 defeat at the hands of Collegiate. Catholic has struggled against Collegiate recently, as their  matchup on Thursday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
 Catholic saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Joe Norman, who  scored two  runs and  stole two bases while going 2-for-3.  Connor Thompson was another key contributor,  going 2-for-2 with  an  RBI.
 Meanwhile, Christchurch School came into Wednesday's   contest having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with  an  8-7  victory over Fredericksburg Christian  on Wednesday.
  Kemp Davis made a big impact no matter where he played. He  struck out nine batters over  seven innings while giving up  four earned  (and two unearned) runs off   eight  hits. Davis was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring a  run while going 1-for-3.
 In other batting news,  Cam Byers was  excellent,  going 1-for-3 with a  home run and two  runs. Another player making a difference was  Trey Fitchett, who  scored two  runs while going 1-for-4.
 Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Christchurch School, their  win (their first of the  season) made their record 1-3.
 Catholic took their  victory against Christchurch School  in their previous matchup  back in April of 2023 by a conclusive  23-2. Will Catholic repeat their success,  or does  Christchurch School have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
