Rockford Auburn relied on the efforts of Ava Gray, who scored 16 points along with five assists and five rebounds, and Alivia Brown, who almost dropped a double-double on 18 points and nine rebounds. Destiny Robinson was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds.
Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Byron's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. Their rough 54-32 loss to Orangeville might stick with them for a while. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Byron has scored all season.
Rockford Auburn's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 11-17. As for Byron, their defeat dropped their record down to 17-7.
