Halifax County has gone 8-2 against Tunstall recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Comets will face off against the Trojans at 5:30 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Tunstall will face off against a team with plenty of momentum: Halifax County extended their winning streak to five on Wednesday. The Comets never let George Washington get on the board and left with a 16-0 victory. The matchup marked the Comets' most dominant win of the season.

Jay Farmer made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (four). He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. He is becoming a predictor of Halifax County's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 6-7 when he doesn't).
In other batting news, Halifax County got a massive performance out of Ryder Milam, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Milam also hit a double, marking his first of the season. Bailee Henderson was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Halifax County always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .650. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive games.
Tunstall came out on top against George Washington on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive seven-run third inning. The Trojans blew past the Eagles 13-1. The high-scoring effort was just what the Trojans needed considering they were shut out in their previous contest.
Tunstall is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.1 runs on average over those games. As for Halifax County, their record is now 10-7.
Halifax County came out on top in a nail-biter against Tunstall in their previous meeting last Wednesday, sneaking past 1-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Comets since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
