It was a good run, but the Wayne Trace Raiders unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Thursday. They took a 51-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of Woodlan. Wayne Trace has not had much luck with Woodlan recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Woodlan to victory, but perhaps none more so than Brooke Kneubuhler, who scored 18 points along with six assists and six rebounds. Those 18 points set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Taylor Kneubuhler, who scored 15 points along with six rebounds.
Wayne Trace's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-3. As for Woodlan, their victory bumped their record up to 9-7.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wayne Trace will take on Ayersville at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Ayersville has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. Woodlan will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Fremont at 6:00 p.m. on January 17, 2024.
