Lee is 0-1 against Gadsden City since October of 2022 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Lee Generals will be playing at home against the Gadsden City Titans at 7:00 p.m. Lee will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Alabama Rankings (they are ranked 169th, while Gadsden City is ranked 35th).
Last Friday, Lee came up short against Buckhorn and fell 34-22.
Gadsden City fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back victories it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Mae Jemison 42-13 at home. The result was nothing new for Gadsden City, who have now won four contests by 22 points or more so far this season.
Gadsden City's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Luke Waldrop, who threw for 112 yards and three touchdowns, and Tj Worthy, who gained 95 total yards and two touchdowns. D'andre Kirkpatrick jr got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Lee's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 4-3. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 15.67 points per game. As for Gadsden City, their win on Friday bumped their record up to 5-3.
