Tri extended their postseason success on Friday against South Decatur. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Cougars 7-5. The win was nothing new for the Titans as they're now sitting on seven straight.
Macey Ballard made a splash while hitting and pitching. She struck out 14 batters over seven innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off seven hits (and only one walk). That's the most strikeouts she has posted since May 6th. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in two of her three plate appearances with two runs.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Rylan Mathews, who went 1-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Ann Bean was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.
