Jackson extended the longest winning streak in 5A Region 3 this week by beating Saraland, 42-14. This was the team's seventh consecutive win.
Citronelle made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 6,908 from 7,293. The improvement was the result of 30-14 victory over Satsuma last week.
Sumter Central's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Jaguars feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Julius Maye has thrown for 238 yards and four touchdowns this season, while LeeOtis Washington has 12 catches for 213 yards. Maye also leads the league in rushing with 243 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when the Wildcats take on Jackson. Citronelle is in fourth place, while the Aggies are in first place.
