Even though the Omaha Nation Chiefs scored an imposing 61 points on Saturday, the Douglas County West Falcon still came out on top. Douglas County West managed a 66-61 victory over Omaha Nation. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Douglas County West also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2023.
Grace Holm was her usual excellent self, scoring 24 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Ava Grimm, who scored 11 points along with eight rebounds.
Douglas County West has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season. As for Omaha Nation, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-8.
Douglas County West will stay at home for another game and welcome Wahoo at 2:30 p.m. on January 13th. Omaha Nation's road trip will continue as they head out to face Marty Indian at 3:00 p.m. on January 12th.
