The Niagara Falls Wolverines will face off against the Starpoint Spartans at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Niagara Falls is coming into the match hot, having won their last ten games.
On Wednesday, Niagara Falls made easy work of Kenmore West and carried off a 13-1 victory. Considering the Wolverines have won 11 contests by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.
Aiden Hamilton and Trevor Meidenbauer made a big impact no matter where they played. On the mound, Hamilton tossed two innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. Meanwhile, Meidenbauer kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out eight over 4.2 innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. At the plate, Hamilton went 2-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double, while Meidenbauer went 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI. That double was Hamilton's first of the season.

Niagara Falls always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .579. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .500 or higher in four consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Starpoint didn't have quite enough to beat Hamburg on Wednesday and fell 5-3.
Niagara Falls' win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-1. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 6.8 runs. As for Starpoint, their loss dropped their record down to 3-10.
Niagara Falls came out on top in a nail-biter against Starpoint when the teams last played back in May of 2024, sneaking past 6-4. Will the Wolverines repeat their success, or do the Spartans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
