The Anderson County Bulldogs put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past Fredonia, posting a 71-43 win at home. Anderson County's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Defeat or not, Fredonia got some senior leadership from Zoey Sims who scored 16 points along with six rebounds and three steals and Campbell Odell who scored two points along with seven steals. The matchup was Sims' seventh in a row with at least ten points.
Anderson County's victory bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Fredonia, they now have a losing record at 3-4.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Anderson County will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Wellsville at 6:00 p.m. on January 5, 2024. Wellsville will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Kansas Rankings (they are ranked 260th, while Anderson County is ranked 95th). Fredonia will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Eureka at 6:00 p.m. on January 5, 2024.
