Booneville was the 6-3 winner over Alcorn Central when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Blue Devils fell 7-2 to the Bears on Tuesday. The Blue Devils' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Colin Flurry was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-4 with one home run. Jacob Matthews was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-2.

Booneville's loss dropped their record down to 8-14. As for Alcorn Central, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-9 record this season.
