The Emmett Huskies scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. They took down Vallivue 68-53. Perhaps unsurprisinly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.
Despite the loss, Vallivue saw an underclassman step up: Zakary Hogg scored 16 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Dominik Betancourt was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Emmett's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-10. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.7 points per game. As for Vallivue, they now have a losing record at 9-10.
Emmett will head out on the road to face off against Ridgevue at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Ridgevue has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 394 points over their last six games. As for Vallivue, they will be playing at home against Skyview at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Idaho (Vallivue is ranked 70th, while Skyview is ranked 53rd).
