As for Lake Placid, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. Despite 62 more yards than LaBelle, the Dragons couldn't convert that extra yardage to scores.
Despite the loss, Lake Placid saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Damarcus Brown rushed for 30 yards and one score, and also picked up 75 receiving yards.
LaBelle has already played their next matchup, a 17-14 win against Avon Park on the 26th. As for Lake Placid, after each having a week off, they and Frostproof will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:30 p.m. on October 3.
