Cedaredge fell 62-49 to Grand Valley on Thursday. Cedaredge found out winning isn't easy when you're outrebounded 21 to 8 on offense.
Despite the loss, Cedaredge still got an impressive performance from Luke Maxey, who scored 28 points. Maxey has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last five times he's played. Jacob Bowler was another key contributor, scoring five points along with 14 rebounds and three blocks.
Porter Ostermiller was the offensive standout of the match as he dropped a double-double on 16 points and 14 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Andrew Horner, who scored ten points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Cedaredge bumped their record down to 3-8 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Grand Valley, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-7.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cedaredge will take on Meeker at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Meeker is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last five games. As for Grand Valley, they will be playing at home against North Fork at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.
