O'Brien RVT had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They walked away with  a   12-7  win over the Platt RVT Panthers  on Saturday. That's more bragging rights for O'Brien RVT, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
  Ryan Sheehy was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He  tossed  an inning while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits (he also only allowed one  walk). Sheehy was also stellar in the batter's box,  scoring two  runs and  stealing two bases while  getting on base  in three of his five plate appearances.
 In other pitching news,  Cody Bolduc tossed a big game,   striking out seven batters over  five innings while giving up just two earned  (and three unearned) runs off   seven  hits (and only one walk).
 Back at the plate,  Jayden Pitts and  Braydon Edgeworth did most of the damage at the plate:  Pitts  scored three  runs and  stole two bases while going 2-for-4, while  Edgeworth  went 3-for-4 with four  RBI, a  run,  and a  double. Another player making a difference was  Dylan Greenlaw, who  scored two  runs while going 2-for-4.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. O'Brien RVT will  face off against Wilcox RVT at 3:45  p.m.  on Monday. As for Platt RVT, they will head out on the road to  square off against  Whitney RVT at 3:45  p.m.  on Monday. Platt RVT is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
