It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Greenbrier West Cavaliers can now relate to. They were outmatched by the Yellowjackets on the road and fell 42-12. Greenbrier West's defeat signaled the end of their 13-game winning streak.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Williamstown to victory, but perhaps none more so than Maxwell Molessa, who rushed for 171 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 9.5 yards per carry, and also threw for 96 yards and a touchdown while completing 88.9% of his passes. Molessa really tore up the turf during one magnificent 98-yard run. Lynken Joy was another key contributor, rushing for 161 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 8.5 yards per carry.
Greenbrier West's defeat dropped their record down to 13-1. As for Williamstown, their win was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 14-0.
