Braham is on a six-game streak of home wins, while Upsala is on a three-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Braham Bombers will take on the Upsala Cardinals at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Last Thursday, Braham didn't have too much trouble with Pine City at home as they won 71-52.
Meanwhile, Upsala put the finishing touches on their tenth blowout victory of the season on Friday. They blew past St. John's Prep 80-44 on the road. Given Upsala's advantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 177th, while St. John's Prep is ranked 417th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Upsala to victory, but perhaps none more so than Samuel Laliberte, who scored 22 points along with five assists and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Laliberte has scored all season. Jack Primus was another key contributor, scoring 18 points along with eight rebounds and six assists.
Braham is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season. As for Upsala, their win bumped their record up to 16-5.
Braham didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Upsala in their previous matchup back in January of 2023, but they still walked away with a 55-51 victory. Will Braham repeat their success, or does Upsala have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
