1A-1 Region I District 4 recap Oct. 30, 2012
Anson extended the longest winning streak in 1A-1 Region I District 4 this week by beating Haskell, 62-7. The victory was the eighth in a row for the Tigers.
Anson moved up to 478 from 504 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Tigers were able to make move up by beating the Indians 62-7.
Forsan's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Polo Morin threw for 13 yards and Dillon Bagnall had 13 yards receiving. On the ground Brendan Roman chipped in 90 yards. Roman helped Forsan's passing attack out by catching one ball for two yards.
Stamford's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Bulldogs feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Hagen Hutchinson has thrown for 1633 yards and 27 touchdowns this season, while James Washington has 41 catches for 678 yards. Hutchinson also leads the league in rushing with 697 yards.
A big matchup in 1A-1 Region I District 4 this week will be when Anson takes on the Buffaloes. The Tigers are currently in first, while Forsan is in third.
Anson led the league in scoring this week after putting up 62 points on Haskell.
